Lower Freight Costs

All TerraLam mats are lighter in weight compared to traditional wood mats, including crane mats. With up to twice the lineal footage per truckload, shipping expenses and transport time are dramatically reduced. Using TerraLams in areas like your Right of Way can increase efficiency over time compared to using crane mats alone.

Faster to Install

Delivering twice the coverage per mat in more consistent dimensions means less trips down the Right of Way when installing TerraLam 700 mats compared to crane mats. Less fuel spent plus faster setup while site safety also improves. These same benefits apply during removal too.

Superior Load Distribution

TerraLam 700 mats offer superior load distribution due to their increased ground coverage. With 100% more coverage than regular crane mats, TerraLam 700 mats are easier on the ground, reducing soil compaction and ground disturbance, creating a more stable surface for heavy equipment and improving job site safety.

Easier to Clean

All TerraLam mats feature a smooth, nearly gap-free surface that simplifies cleaning and maintenance. Dirt and debris can be quickly brushed off the surface and a lack of gaps means minimal buildup within the mat, reducing the weight gain from the jobsite dirt and the chance of invasives tagging along.

Simpler To Dispose

All mats have a limited life and disposing of old mats on a job site is often a necessity. Timber mats contain large metal fasteners that create challenges for disposal. TerraLam mats offer comparable strength but are constructed without any metal, making them safe to mulch and safer for the environment.

Readily Available

TerraLam mats are made in Illinois and Texas using domestically harvested Southern Pine. These centrally located factories can each produce 1000 mats per day for even the largest projects. And because they are lightweight, transport costs are substantially lower than with other types of mats such as timbers.
