Site Access Contractors
Go beyond mats with "first on, last off" service that reduces risks and delays.

NEW TO ACCESS PLANNING?

PLAN

Bring us on early to optimize every site access step, from off-ROW access to permits. Using GIS capabilities, we’ll identify your specific project challenges and then work with your team on making the site access plan safer and more efficient.

Watch a webinar with Sterling experts to learn more about how early phase planning and budgeting reduce risks to timeline and budget.

PREPARE

Take steps such as clearing trees and other vegetation before grading the ROW so that the next phase can begin.

Read a case study on American Electric Power and learn how Sterling’s preparation, such as viewing historical data for the area, helped avoid major costs and delays from flooding.

INSTALL

Install the right mix of matting types and/or stone roads. Coordinate arrival of mats with traffic control BMPs to ensure safety. Use SWPPP plans to protect fragile environments.

Read our case study for a closer look at how Sterling’s installation expertise helped ComEd protect fragile, protected native marsh and wet prairie habitat while keeping workers safe.

MAINTAIN

Monitor and maintain construction entrances, temporary roads, pads, bridges, and SWPPP. Make adjustments based on site conditions, such as clearing for snow or intermediate mat moves.

Watch our webinar to learn more from Sterling experts about whether your matting plan should include intermediate moves or matting for the entire site.

RESTORE

After the line work is complete, Sterling will remove all mats and site access products from the ROW and will fully restore affected areas on the right-of-way, leaving a positive impression on landowners, and preventing costly fees.
